I transferred the sketch to an 8×10 canvas and he looks so cute at this size! ^^ I didn’t bother sketching the leaves in as the background will be figured out as I go, but I will be doing the same leaves as in the sketch. 
Can someone please help me identify this tree? Pwetty pwease??? 
I see it all over our city and I have no idea what it is let alone what it’s called, but it inspired my “Peek” painting (see the sketch here), and I’d really like to be able to name it in my description… :\
Any and all help will be much appreciated, even any tips on how and where to identify Australian trees (or at least trees that can grow in Australia). I’ve seen several tree identification websites, but they’re all American… Anyhoos, it was planted next to some Japanese Maples, but I don’t know if that’s relevant. :\
I got up before the sun rose today which was really quite silly since we had a late night last night and a pretty big day yesterday, but I am really glad I did. As I walked into the kitchen and looked out to the east, I saw the most beautiful sunrise and had to take some photos! 
I love being up early to watch the sun rise but usually I don’t have time to enjoy it let alone stop and take some photos, thankfully this morning I did. ^^

A little sketch for my hubby. ^^
It sprang from one of those ‘had to be there’ kind of conversations… Also – that is grass. 
I have never felt like such a dumb girlish girl… ><
The night before last I walked over to my desk only to see a large spider running like a CRAZYMAN on the wall behind my monitor! It was HUGE! And it freaked me out big time, but I don’t know why! O_o Thankfully hubby was home and he did the big brave hunter thing and sprayed it with bug spray which of course only annoyed it and made it run even more… It then decided to climb on top of my computer and raise it’s bum at us like it was gonna jump and attack us, lol! But then it fell to the floor and ran towards me (of course) and I tell you I so wanted to climb on a chair. But that would’ve been no good anyways coz spiders can climb chairs, and knowing this I felt even stupider! XD
I have never been the “OHNOES ITS A MOUSE I GOTTA CLIMB CHAIR” kind of female, I can’t explain my sudden urge to perch on a chair… Spiders don’t really bother me so much, I mean we have always had huntsmans and other big spiders around us, but there’s something freaky about the way they run… :S
I felt so embarrassed after my hubby had dealt with it, and he of course was laughing at my girly girlishness – and so he should! It was so stupid, lol!
