By the Light of the Moon – Sketch

Just did this quick sketch the other day, hopefully it’ll be finished soon along with my hubby’s painting…everything is taking me sooo much longer than I expect it to lately, grrr! ><

Anyhoos enjoy! ^^

PS – Sah I will email you ASAP!!! I haven’t forgotten you, life’s just been uber busy, I’ll explain all in the email!!! <3 Mucho luvs!!

Finality – Sketch

A very rough thumbnail of an artwork I want to try soon – it’s going to be on canvas at 16×20 (of course :P ), and I envision reds, blacks and some yellow in the background of this; the cave behind him will have a bright yellow opening and the ground will be cracked and seeping with light as though lava is trying to push it’s way through. The sky will be dark and stormy with a bit of lightning. ;)

…well, that’s the plan anyhoos. :P I’ll sketch him (properly) soon but first I have a special birthday present I’m working on for my husband! So there probably won’t be too many updates (artwise) until it’s finished, but it won’t be more than two weeks. :) I’d post some progress shots but I don’t want hubby to see what he’s getting until it’s finished! :P

PS – Please excuse the other bits of sketches mixed in with him…I have a little sketch book that I use for thumbnails and basic ideas and they often overlap… ^^;;

Dusty Day

Dust…

So…much…dust…

Yesterday was incredibly windy and dust was everywhere for most of the afternoon and of course I had to take some photos! ;) The colour of the sky was just bizarre and as I stood on the foreshore taking these photos it started to rain, but because of the amount of dust it kind of rained mud, lol. It was an odd day to say the least.

I was at home watching the colour of the sky change and it was the same as it was back during the Ash Wednesday fires (read about it here), mind you I was all of four years old at that time yet I still remember it clearly.
