She’ll be finished in acrylics and possibly coloured pencil.

This is my entry for the AFAE Theme Challenge: Mythical Creatures. I’ve never drawn a centaur before, let alone painted one so I felt it would be a good challenge for me personally. You can see the original sketch here, and the work in progress here.

Centaur – WiP

Well I transferred my centaur to acrylic paper and did a little bit of painting! I changed a few things in the sketch but they’re pretty minor. Anyhoos you can see the colour scheme I’ve chosen and I’m hoping to have the background either finished or very close to tonight!

(Again sorry for the poor quality, I used my son’s digi camera. I’m too impatient to wait for it to dry so I can scan it).

Centaur – Sketch

This is what I chose to draw for the next AFAE themed challenge – a centaur! I’ve never drawn one before so I thought I’d give it a go. ^^ He’ll be finished with acrylics at either A4 or hopefully A3 (if I can get the paper soon enough), and in some nice earthy tones.
